Opalux Receives Embark Grant

Opalux has received a $20,000 grant from the Embark Funding Program through the MaRS Business Acceleration Program to support an addition to its business team. The Business Acceleration Program (BAP) supports the growth and development of regional innovation ecosystems across Ontario.

Using this grant, Opalux has hired Anthony Ling as Partnership Development Manager. Anthony has previously worked in strategic and financial advisory at The Black Box Institute, technology transfer at WORLDiscoveries, and research and engineering roles at National Research Council of Canada, TRIUMF, and Barrie Metals.

Andrew Binkley, Opalux’s CEO, stated that “Opalux is pleased to be adding Anthony to the Opalux team. His financial, strategy and business development expertise is going to be important as Opalux launches the first wave of products based on its tunable phontonic crystals.”
